Trinidad Coloniales

04/02/2019
I’ve been fortunate to be hanging with a couple Sumos who have been exploring or revisiting their Cuban cigar experiences. I have been on the receiving end of some of those cigars.

Today’s treat was the Trinidad Coloniales, a 4.25” x 44 Corona sized cigar.

While I’m not that experienced smoking Cuban cigars, the ones that I have had recently all wallow in the “Milder” category of cigars that I have experienced since my return to the cigar hobby.

The Trinidad Coloniales was no different.

A snip and cut and my first experience was of grassy notes and sweet cedar. Once lit, a smooth perfect draw brought creamy vanilla and cedar notes with some bread in there too. The aromas from the Trinidad Coloniales was outstanding…

This would be the perfect “first” cigar of the day. Warning… the ash does not want to stay of for very only (half-inch at the most), so beware.

This cigar was about a week or so since it was delivered and I have one more marinating in the TupperDor. I think I’ll let that one rest for a few months.
