Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Goliath by Foundation Cigars

Foundation Cigars, Havana Seed #142, Havana Seed CT No.142 Goliath, Mexican San Andres, Nicholas Melillo, Nick Melillo, Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A., Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Goliath, The Tabernacle Today was my First-Time with this relatively new release of the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Goliath by Foundation Cigars. I enjoyed everything about this 60-Gauge “Beast” except for the “Beast” part. I don’t normally partake in large ring-gauge cigars, but this release of the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 came in only two sizes; the David (5.0″ x 54) and the Goliath (5.0″ x 58) so, my options were small for this release… Besides… see below…

From a perfect draw, this cigar delivers volumes of chewy creamy smoke of creamy malted cocoa and dark coffee with a touch of leather on the finish with a razor-sharp burn. The retrohale is a powerful spice that will scorch your nose hairs if you’re not careful.

Moving forward, I’m really enjoying the dense tobacco flavors that this “Special” Havana Seed CT No.142 blend brings… woody notes, maybe some hickory charred flavors with dark coffee and chocolate. I have to keep in mind that the retrohale is to be respected!

As I’m nearing the final third, after enjoying the full-flavored effect of this dandy cigar, strong balanced tobacco flavors are keeping me company even with some charred wood notes…this cigar getting warmer as I near the end… the almond paste flavors are starting to show up, so I have to slow my place down a bit or this will be a hot bitter mess.

Overall, the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Goliath was an enjoyable cigar to smoke although I didn’t detect what this different Vitola brought to the table… maybe, just something different.

I think for my money, I’ll stay with the regular Parejos of this blend although I still have the David Vitola to smoke yet.

Until next time…
