COVID-19 Day 882
Truth be told… I was a little perturbed that there was no blend information for this The Shepherd “Ezekiel” cigar by Matt Booth / Pospiech Cigars. I get cranky when this information isn’t provided and to make it worse, the descriptions were a little cute for me, but that’s just me.
Once I got over myself… both the sniff of the wrapper and cold draw brought some exciting aromas and flavors from this undisclosed blend… I hate it when they do that, but in this case, I might understand because my guess is this is a “One and Done” special release.
The first puffs were very satisfying and smooth through a perfect draw offering the correct amount of resistance from this smoky “secret” blend. The first tobacco flavors are rich deep creamy and smooth of the earthy kind… dark coffee and leather come to mind quickly. The retrohale is a zesty white pepper. I can’t wait to see what happens at the next third. So far, so delicious!
I’ve arrived at the second third and I’m loving this cigar… deep rich “Aged” tobacco flavors that bring smooth creamy smoke that coats my palette with earthy dark coffee and leather, along with a retrohale that completes this cigar.
I’m at the last third and this is a Finger-Burner for sure… I just wish these weren’t so expensive.
