I was gifted a couple of the new (for me) San Pedro de Macorís Perla (4.125 x 40) by Royal Agio Cigars last March by Jeff Martinez at Sellwood Cigar.

My notes from my March Instagram post started with “#WowWowWowWowWow, #HomeRun! #AffordableCigar. I want more, please!

After patiently waiting a month, I decided it was time to blaze my second cigar of the same and I was not disappointed.

After a snip and a cut, my cold draw provided earthy barnyard leather flavors. #SakamotoHappy!

Once lit, I’m in my happy place; most of the checkboxes are marked; leather, rich earthy tobacco, cedar and some black pepper hanging around my tongue for a spicier finish… but, not too much, just the correct amount of pepper spice definitely on the retrohale. My burn is razor sharp with no issues.

I’m loving this smoking experience with this very “Affordable” cigar. This is #BoxWorthy!
