Wow, a fresh start after resting this San Cristobal Revelation Legend (BP Toro) by Ashton Cigars and it’s a whole new smoking experience. This is a beautiful looking cigar with its smooth oily wrapper enticing me all the way.

Once lit, volumes of smoke pour over me with familiar coffee tobacco flavors along with a mild retrohale that compliments the “smooth vibe” of this cigar

At the second third the retrohale ramps up with a tad more spice while some cocoa flavors are trying to come through. The draw is so seductive, I’m eager to puff on this… maybe too much. I’m diggin’ this cigar.

At the halfway point, this cigar is still pouring out a nice bit of smoke with every light puff. I think I may have read somewhere that this cigar has some Drew Estate manufacturing behind it. I’ll have to check that out.

At the last third and the smoke production makes me happy. Plenty of smooth easy smoke to enjoy.

I think I’ll consider purchasing more of these in a smaller ring gauge next time… Stay Tuned!

Stay Smoky
Stay Chill

I’ve been looking for something new to try so I acquired a few San Cristobal Revelation cigars to also further explore some Ecuadorian Sumatra wrappers. Along with what I’ve read, this one seemed to have some promise… and I expect it will deliver… eventually

Operator Error
My hopes were high, but I think I need to condition my Revelation cigars a little more. The immediate pepper blast and dusty cocoa greeted me, but I was having challenges keeping this cigar lit.

I’ll revisit this in another month or so and see what evolves. In the meantime…

2013:
“The San Cristobal (cris-TOE-bull) Revelation is the new full-line from Ashton. Like the other San Cristobal lines, it is made by Don Pepín Garcia at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper that comes from the same growers that produce VSG wrappers sitting over Nicaraguan binder and filler.” –
