Well, I’ll be the first to admit that what attracted me to this cigar was the cigar band that depicts a Japanese Design… gee, I wonder why that caught my eye.
At the start, today’s Room 101 Master Collection Three in Roxxo, the flavors started off pretty subtle… dry vegetal and maybe some dry cocoa in there with a retrohale that has a bit of pepper spice.
At the halfway point not much has changed. I remember the first time I smoked this cigar, there was a change around this point with deeper flavors that haven’t shown up yet, or maybe they never will…
The smoke output is impressive…
Well, that cigar ended without much fanfare. I guess I’ll just keep firing these up every once in a while since I have almost a half a box left to smoke.

When I first heard of the Room 101 Master Collection Three I was definitely intrigued as this was supposed to be a showcase of the Room 101 Cigar Brand of Matt Booth’s creations.
I smoked my first one 5-months ago in March (2019) and decided to leave my opinions to this post as I was preoccupied, probably visiting with some folks at the table…
First puff was a bit of a harsh cedar and dry cocoa that made me wonder… but, that soon disappeared and mellowed into an earthy bread and coffee that was soon to come with a nice pepper spice on the retrohale and very smoky.
I’m glad I was paying attention this time around… The sweet spot was definitely right in the middle of this short-lived cigar. I’m looking forward to my next visit with the Room 101 Master Collection Three. I think this will be a very enjoyable cigar. Stay tuned

I’ve been waiting for months since my return to the cigar hobby to try this Room 101 Master Collection Three by Matt Booth. After watching several video reviews of this cigar I’ve been on the lookout for this… and I will admit the Japanese Sakura
Design (Japanese Cherry Blossom) on the cigar band had something to do with my search.
Thanks to Ed Sumo, I found these.
Today Ed Sumo and I blazed one of these; thru our excitement even though we knew it might be too early to light (I just received these a couple of days ago) even though I sent these to condition especially for today’s smoking pleasure.
Overall, too soon. I’ll come back in a few weeks or a month and compare today’s bitter cocoa notes with some leather and coffee with very little pepper spice on the retrohale.
About halfway, the cigar started to get a little soft and spongy with the bitterness becoming more apparent at the last third.
I can’t wait to come back to this in a bit… Time to marinate this in the TupperDor.
