Even though this is a big corporate brand (not Small-Batch, Boutique-Cigars), this Romeo by Romeo y Julieta Cigars will remain in the Sakamoto Cigar Rotation for the good worthy reasons of Flavor and Affordability. This is one of my Cigar Walk favorites (regulars).
The Romeo by Romeo y Julieta’s construction is flawless and beautifully wrapped with a Dark Ecuadoran Habano wrapper brought together by an outstanding Affordable performance delivering “Classic: tobacco flavors and an Ash that hangs on forever… Long Ashes.
Yes, I should smoke more of these!

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 111: 3.5-Mile Cigar
I’m opting for some “Classic” tobacco flavors for this morning’s Cigar-Walk with this Ecuadorian Habano wrapped Dominican Republic cigar… Romeo by Romeo y Julieta!
Always a joy to smoke and enjoy… and I know that this will last for a good 3.5-Mile walk… the last time I smoked this, a Coyote walked past me (across the street). Let’s see what this morning brings!

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 27: 3.5-Mile Cigar
I saw a healthy Coyote running up this road this morning while I was enjoying my Romeo by Romeo y Julieta in Toro. It didn’t look like it was lacking in any meals; I was able to observe it in mutual admiration as we stared at each other before it took off…

I’ll be one to admit that when I first saw the hard to ignore the marketing of the, as Cigar Sensei would say “Corporate-Cigar” Romeo by Romeo y Julieta, I was a little suspect of the “slick” packaging and “Ad-Words” (hype).
But, at first glance, this was a beautiful cigar. All dark and smooth and perfectly rolled with a flawless Dark Ecuadoran Habano wrapper makes for a hefty cigar. I look forward to this Romeo every time.
In addition to how this cigar looks and feels in my hands, this cigar reminds me of the classic smokes I enjoyed when I first started smoking cigars 30-years ago or so. This Romeo had the firmness and heft that produced volumes of smoky earth, leather, and nuts.
When I smoke this cigar, I want to find the deepest leather chair and sink into it.

I’ve smoked two or three or these Romeos before this one and it still impresses me or I should say reminds me of those old cigars I used to smoke 20-years ago. Old-School construction; Beautiful smooth wrapper and a flavor profile that hits my “softer” sweet spot. This is not a Full-Powered or Full-Strength stick, it’s a very pleasant experience that’s not too complicated.
I smoked this one in the car and loved it
