COVID-19 Day 670:
A.J. Fernandez, AJ Fernandez, Ecuador, Habano Oscuro, Nicaragua, Oscuro, Ramon Allones, Toro First, I should smoke these Ramon Allones by A.J. Fernandez, General Cigar Company more often. This is a handsomely great-tasting cigar!

Once lit, cedar and spice and everything nice… I love this AJF Ramon Allones; ever since my very first puff of this cigar a couple of years ago… cedar, spice, chocolate, earth, and slight hints of black pepper that come through nicely on the retrohale. This cigar resonates to me!

At about the halfway point, a touch of vanilla hangs on my palate along with some of the mentioned rich caramel, earth, pepper, cedar, and chocolate, though the pepper becomes more pronounced and lingers.

I can’t wait to smoke this AJF Ramon Allones again!

COVID-19 Day 605:
A.J. Fernandez, AJ Fernandez, Ecuador, Habano Oscuro, Nicaragua, Oscuro, Ramon Allones, Toro
It’s no secret that the A.J. Fernandez version of the Ramon Allones (General Cigar Company) is one of my favorite cigars in the Cigar Rotation… only I haven’t smoked this in a year!

It was a pleasure getting reacquainted with this hefty tobacco-packed Toro. Once lit, I was welcomed with the familiar earthy flavors riding in on the creamy smoke delivering malt, chocolate, dark rich espresso, and woody cedar tobacco flavors with a black pepper spice on the retrohale.

Earthy chocolate and dark coffee notes are joined by some black cherry tobacco flavors all riding on chewy creamy smoke… I’m loving this smoking experience!

Through a perfect draw and razor-sharp burn, I’m putting down my notepad so I can sit back and enjoy the conversation around me and focus on this beautiful Ramon Allones in Toro by A.J. Fernandez, General Cigar Company.

Until next time…

A.J. Fernandez, Ecuador, Habano Oscuro, Nicaragua, Oscuro, Ramon AllonesDark rich creamy earthy tobacco flavors of the A.J. Fernandez Ramon Allones is the reward that put me in my happy place as I nod in agreement to myself that the extra rest in the TupperDor has paid off in full.

These are now ready to smoke and will only get better as time rolls on.

Sakamoto Happy!

No Wonder! I just read that the wrapper on the A.J. Fernandez Ramon Allones is the dark and rare Medio Tiempo Nicaraguan Habano hybrid tobacco.

This did not disappoint this time around!

I grabbed this Ramon Allones by A.J. Fernandez today after two months of not smoking because of my broken foot.

This one had been resting for a little over a month and it wasn’t ready, so I’ll give it a little more time.

The big flavors I was expecting just weren’t there today from this beautiful cigar.

A.J. Fernandez, Ecuador, Habano Oscuro, Nicaragua, Oscuro, Ramon AllonesAnytime I see Corojo 99 and Criollo 99 filler wrapped in a Habano Oscuro wrapper, I have to have it.

The Ramon Allones by A.J. Fernandez is a higher-priced offering by the Fernandez brand that caught my eye during a visit to my nearby Tobacco Shop, Timber Valley Tobacco in Beaverton, Oregon.

I’m finally committing these cigars to my TupperDor.

A snip and a cut and the aromas and cold draw from the Fernandez Ramon Allones are earthy tobacco, wood, and cocoa. This is usually a good sign for me.

By the second third, espresso, earthy tobacco, leather, and cocoa are keeping me happy. The pepper spice is way in the background and just the correct amount for a milder retrohale.

So far I’m loving my experience with the Ramon Allones by A.J. Fernandez and I’ll be on the lookout for some affordable prices for this Premium offering the Fernandez folks.
