Ramon Allones

04/11/2019

I’m not particularly one to seek Cuban cigars, but when one is offered to me I’m also one who doesn’t turn them down just so I can experience what a lot of folks get excited about. I’m guessing more often than not, it’s the “hard-to-get” vibe the Cuban cigars have/had “in-the-day”.

Today’s cigar is the Ramon Allones Churchill gifted to me by Xander Glazier

A snip and a cut and I’m experiencing a wave of floral notes… this is a first for me… wow and interesting. I don’t think I’ve had Cigar with this flavor profile before and I’m enjoying this.

Light coffee, leather and dominant floral notes invade my senses; even on the retrohale that also delivers some nice baking spices on the finish… this is nice!

The floral notes remain consistent throughout with cocoa joining the flavor party at the halfway point and onto the finish. The dominant flavors riding along with the floral notes where the continuation of earthy leather that suited my just fine and dandy.

Total time for this cigar was over two-hours… Wow!
Thank you Xander.
