COVID-19 Day 438:
Today was my first experience that I know of smoking a Nicaragua Connecticut wrapped cigar. I swear at my first few puffs I was tasting grape jelly… Does that mean peanut butter flavors will arrive next?
After I got over that revelation, the mouth feel is thick and chewy, and creamy… like creamy bread, leather, and a touch of cocoa with a high or bright retrohale of pepper spice was had to be enjoyed through a perfect draw.
Desflorado Wrapper: leaf from 2007, and while Desflorado sounds fancy, it is simply the Spanish word for deflowered. Tobacco farmers often remove the flower and seeds from a tobacco plant so that the majority of the nutrients go to the leaves and produce a stronger, more pronounced flavor. – from from Halfwheel
The cigars feature a 2007-vintage Desflorada wrapper and are made to showcase a fresh perspective of Nicaragua’s unique characteristics. (Cigar Dojo)
