This was my first time with the Drew Estate Pappy Van Winkle Tradition; and first draw … Wow, a mouthful of smoke right off the bat with the perfect amount of resistance. I didn’t expect that from the weight of this cigar; firm to the touch but light in overall heft.
Soft mellow pepper emerges at the half-inch mark so far so great. I have a feeling this is going to be a special cigar.
Something minty appears and is residing as a tingle on my lips… odd.
This cigar stays steady all the way through. Creamy, sweet leather with just the correct amount of pepper spice in the background; same smooth flavor profile follows to the end.
This is an expensive cigar, so I don’t plan of stocking these. In my opinion, these would be good for “That” special occasion but not for my “Beginner” everyday smoke.
