Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve in Robusto Grande by Drew Estate Cigars

What? Are you Kidding? Those were my first thoughts. Not what I was expecting although others have told me so.

I hope that Sumo Ralph is storing these separately from the rest of his cigars.

Cold Draw: Smoked Charred Wood, this is a firmly packed cigar.

My punch-cut created draws with just the correct amount of resistance if ever so slightly on the tighter side; we’ll see how this cigar heats up. So far it reminds me of smoking baked beans and gritty earth.

Duh, this cigar should be paired with a Smokey-Bourbon. I’m at the halfway point and not much has changed since the beginning.

I’ve been waiting patiently to reach the barrel-fermented wrapper. It smells like a campfire in my corner of the cigar lounge.

If I had to choose between the Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve and the Drew Estate Pappy Van Winkle Tradition, I’d have to go with the Tradition.

Stay Smokey
Stay Chill
