Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Churchill

08/08/2019
Maduro, Melanio, Mexican San Andres, Nicaragua, Nicaraguan Habano, Oliva Cigars, Serie VToday I had the first time pleasure of blazing the Oliva Melanio V Maduro Churchill; probably a longer vitola than I would have normally chosen, but this was the only size at the B&M where I purchased it.

At first puff, I couldn’t quite believe what I was tasting… cool rich earthy chocolate with a mild sweet leather finish. Missing was my anticipation of a pepper blast that never really showed up and I’m fine with that.

I was really enjoying the start of the Melanio V Maduro anticipating what would happen at the halfway point and I was not disappointed. What a delicious cigar!

At the second third the body of the Melanio V Maduro is ramping up and the flavors are melding into one smooth tasty volume of chewy smoke with no real discernable flavors; much like the very start that I thought was different as I smacked my lips trying to identify cigar flavors that dissolved on my palate.

At the last third, I can say that this is a creamy cigar with its flavorful San Andres wrapper. This cigar hits all the flavor checkboxes that I look for in a cigar.

I just purchased some more… I had a strong feeling that I was going to enjoy the Oliva Melanio V Maduro.
