I can’t believe that it’s been six months since I’ve smoked the A.J. Fernandez New World Especial. A Nicaraguan Puro from one of my favorite blenders.

For this particular cigar, Abdel Fernández (A.J.) collaborated with his father, Ismael for this outstanding and affordable cigar using tobaccos from the Fernandez farms in Nicaragua (via Halfwheel: New World Especial )

Coffee, leather, and earth soon appear to complete all of my flavor checkboxes and I’m a happy man!

I should probably check and see how many I have left because I know I’ll be putting these back into the regular cigar rotation. Maybe I’ll try the smaller ring gauges…

I’ve had the A.J. Fernandez New World Puro Especial in my TupperDor since May (2018). After today, I need to spend more time with these affordable beauties.

My usual punch-cut gave my Apricots on an open cold draw. Once blazed pepper greets me on my tongue and through the retrohale.

I remembered why I enjoy the cigar so much; it has all my favorite flavor targets; earth, leather, cocoa and they all start mellow out after the first third, this includes the pepper that lightly Coates my tongue for a favorable finish.

But wait there’s more… They all come back at the final third for a full flavor finish.
Yep, this cigar is here to stay
