It’s cold wet and windy in Portland, Oregon this morning and I’m going to blame that on my nose not being able to pick up any distinct cold draw notes from the RoMa Craft Neanderthal SGP (4-1/2 x 52).
Once lit, that’s another thing entirely. #SakamotoHappy. This is the first RoMa Craft cigar that I’ve paid attention to. After hearing so many accolades I had to give it a go.
A punch cut on the perfect flat cap and off we go. Right away the draw is perfect producing billows of smoke. Coffee, chocolate earth and leather; this hits all my flavor checkboxes and there’s even the correct amount of pepper spice for me on the retrohale too.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this cigar is an immediate flavor bomb… Wow! At the halfway point 30 minutes later and its coffee and cream delivered on copious amounts of chewy smoke.
I think I need these in my rotation. This size is perfect too for my usual cigar-smoking time that I get to spend.
