My Father La Promesa Toro

08/19/2019
Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro, Jose “Pepin” García, My Father Cigars, My Father La PromesaIt has been a while since I’ve had something new from My Father Cigars, so I was looking forward to this new experience with the just-released La Promesa from My Father Cigars.

A snip and a cut and a warm mouthful of smooth cocoa and earthy leather with no pepper spice that I can detect…maybe very slightly way in the background…

I’m not detecting anything that slaps me on the side of the head, but maybe that’s the way this is supposed to be… A very flavorful medium-bodied cigar and that sits just fine with me as it makes for a perfect companion with my reading that I need to get done this morning.

At the second third, this is flavorful and nicely bodied cigar; one that I would endorse for a good morning smoke or one to start the day with.

The last third is ramping up… I clipped the cap because it was getting a little tarred-up and I’m glad I did so I could burn my fingers on the final inch or so.

I’ll wait another month or so before I blaze my other La Promesa… If you’ve been paying attention, you know that I most often purchase two of the same cigar… just in case…

I enjoyed this first time experience with the La Promesa cigar from My Father Cigars.
