COVID-19 Day 858
From flawless construction, subtle visible seams on this Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper come Earthy dark chocolate, black coffee, and black pepper with a well rounded retrohale of pepper.
This is quite a bit different from yesterday’s Sobremesa.
… And before you know it, I’m almost finished with the second third moving into the third that definitely delivers a more “Macho” profile of deep rich medium-bodied smoky tobacco flavors of chewy black coffee, dark chocolate with a sweet Maduro finish, and black pepper that comes to my tongue. The retrohale gives a zingier evolution of the black pepper spice.
All is good with this “Beefy” cigar.
Well, after two hours, I’m down to the full-flavored nub delivering this cigar strength without any bitter or harsh notes… this is a Premium cigar for sure!
I can’t wait to smoke this again, and again, and again!
Until then…

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 69: 3.0-Mile Cigar
Wow, it was 29°F (-1.7°C) when I set foot outside on this morning’s cold Cigar-Walk with this #FingerBurner in the Mi Querida (Ancho Corto, Robusto) by Mr. Steve Saka and his Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Cigar Company.
Right from the start, this Mi Querida in Ancho Corto (Robusto) delivered “Meaty” chewy smoke of Black Cherries, Dark Coffee (Espresso), and Black Pepper… it stood up to the cold weather like a Champ!
It’s always a pleasure to smoke the Dunbarton Mi Querida in just about any Vitola… Quality and Flavor all the way from Steve Saka and Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust.

This Saka Saturday I had some visitors so I wasn’t able to sit back and really be present with this Mi Querida by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, but it was damn good… I’ll write something next time.

I declare after smoking many of Steve Saka’s Mi Querida cigars by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust that this is officially one of the “Best” in my humble beginner opinions. This excellent cigar stays in the rotation and in the Puff Sumo TupperDor.
After a snip and a cut, I’m inhaling familiar flavors and aromas (coffee, cocoa, something sweet [caramel]) . The Mi Querida hits the “Sweet Spot” and is just simply one of those cigars you have to have on a regular basis (cigar rotation).
Deep rich earthy tobacco is in this dream cigar. It hasn’t failed me yet. At the first third dark chocolate lingers on the back of my tongue, pepper spice is dull on my retrohale, and that’s fine with me this morning.
At the second third comes silky smooth smoke, and then, here comes the pepper spice… along with the developing flavors of rich and complex earthy tobacco and dark chocolate and leather… very nice!
Is this cigar reminding me of the Red Meat Lovers cigar, a rare and special blend of a few months ago?
Anyway, the Mi Querida cigars by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is officially at the top of my list of cigar discoveries for me.

The first time I smoked the Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Mi Querida was almost 3-months ago to the date. It’s time to get reacquainted.
When I first held the Connecticut Broadleaved Mi Querida, I knew immediately that there was something handsomely familiar about this rugged dark firmly packed cigar.
A straight snip and a cut and dark smooth rich earthy tobacco fill my senses. Once lit, creamy cocoa, earth, and coffee flavors ride in volumes of smoke. A half-inch in and I’m not getting any pepper spice on the retrohale as I have heard others claim.
This is a beautiful-looking cigar. I could take pictures of this all day long. Firmly packed perfectly constructed Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper. This cigar feels great in my hand and delivers a perfect follow-up to my greasy Patty Melt lunch. And, it finally dawns on me why I’m so fond and familiar with Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Mi Querida.
This stout but smooth complex cigar has the DNA (lineage) of “those” other Connecticut Broadleaf cigars I’ve become so fond of lately. This cigar is probably not meant for beginners, so be forwarded.
