Master Collection One Mutante (Lancero) by Room101 Cigars

COVID-19 Day 693:
Lancero, Master Collection One. Mutante, Mexican San Andrés Rosado, Room 101 Cigars Since I only get to smoke this Master Collection One Mutante (Lancero) by Room101 Cigars once a year during Lancero February, I forget how awesome and delicious this cigar is!

The Master Collection One Mutante (Lancero) by Room101 Cigars is just a beautiful cigar although it can be a bit rustic looking, but it delivers! Once lit, full-bodied deep rich earthy tobacco flavors of leather, coffee, black pepper, and cocoa with a soft earthy black pepper on the retrohale put me in a good place.

At the second third… creamy deep rich earthy leather flavors take over and I’m very happy about that… I could easily get lost and forget about everything else while smoking this Master Collection One Mutante.

I’ll do a search online to see if I can find any more of these… Delicious!

Lancero, Master Collection One. Mutante, Mexican San Andrés Rosado, Room 101 Cigars I was finally able to get my hands on a couple of Room 101 Master Collection One and Master Collection Two cigars from Isaac Miller at The Stash Smoke Shop in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Today is the last Thursday of Lancero February 2020, so, I get to at long last smoke one of the Master Collection One I have after letting rest for a little more than a week… keep in mind, these cigars have been hidden in some warehouse for years since they were released.

At first light and puff, deep rich tobacco flavors of coffee, leather, and cocoa with some floral notes in hanging around in the background… especially from the cold draw… not so much once lit. The retrohale hasn’t come to full power yet, so we’ll see what develops in the second third.

At the second third, the rich flavors only get better through a perfect draw with just the correct amount of resistance that produces volumes of smoke to enjoy. After smoking many Lancero cigars this month, I have become accustomed to these going out requiring several relights; I don’t see that happening with this cigar.

At the last third, the Master Collection One Mutante’s dominant flavor is now black pepper… quite the change-up… joining some of the earlier flavors. The retrohale still hasn’t produced any spice and doesn’t appear that it will. The draw and smoke production are outstanding.

If I have the budget next month, I’ll probably grab more of these from Isaac. Tomorrow, I’m blazing the Master Collection Two… can’t wait.
