Luciano The Traveler by A.C.E. Prime Cigars

A.C.E. Prime Cigars, Ecuador Pelo De Oro, Ecuadorian: Sumatra, Luciano Meirelles, Luciano The TravelerToday was my first time with this Luciano by A.C.E. Prime (A Cuban Experience) Cigars a brand new cigar brand I discovered by way of Isaac Miller at The Stash Smoke Shop in Milwaukie, Oregon.

The Luciano cigar is a beautiful looking cigar — Once lit, it had a pretty tight draw and was difficult to keep lit for the first inch or so, but that was probably because I wasn’t paying attention it… this could be a high maintenance lady.

Once I got it warmed up, the draw started to improve delivering mild woody earth flavors with very little pepper spice on the retrohale.

I had a tight spot somewhere in the last third so I used a toothpick to try to open it up a bit… it seemed to help.

Finally, I’m halfway through and the draw opens up… I can relax my cheeks from working so hard now… only, the wrapper is starting to crack and unravel. Hmmm, I’m not happy about this. It sounds from reading, that others have had the same issue with this cigar.

I’m at the last third there are no transitions that I could detect along the way… except everything is ramping up now… including the unraveling of the wrapper.

I have another one of these that I think I’ll let marinate in the TupperDor for a few months and see if it behaves differently next time. At $13.50 per cigar, I expect more!
