Today’s Crowned Heads La Imperiosa Robusto was to vet my next purchase of these cigars. I was so “Wowed” by the Double Robusto I had the other day that I started a box purchase pursuit; now which one?
This Robusto size ended up being very similar to the IDouble Robusto except for the start. At the start of the La Imperiosa Robusto, the cold draw gave up the usual flavors without any resistance that I like and that the Double Robusto was able to provide. After all, it has more tobacco to travel through and pick up “more” along the way.
After the first third the Robusto gave me what I was looking for, Cocoa, Earth, Leather and lots of smoke, so no disappointment with that or the rest of the way. This is a good cigar, but not as good as the larger Double Robusto.
If I found a good 5-pack price for these ($5.00), I’d purchase them. For the time being, I think I’m going to go for the Double Robustos.
