COVID-19 Day 969
Cru Mexi-Sol, Dominican Republic, La Barba, Mexican Sun Grown, Ricochet, Tony Bellatto For some reason, this La Barba Purple by La Barba Cigars / Caldwell Cigars and my palate just didn’t meet eye-to-eye, until a couple of months ago when I decided it was time to give this another go… and I’m glad I did.

Thru and perfect draw offering just the correct amount of resistance slightly sweet natural tobacco flavors of wood, oak, earthy graham cracker, with some leather are coming to me at this early stage. The retrohale is providing a nice leather finish… we’re off to a good start at the first third after 30 minutes.

Sailing through this tasty treat I found myself at the last third where the creaminess of this cigar becomes apparent, along with the leather flavors that made me happy as I also noted the last time I smoked this La Barba Purple by La Barba Cigars / Caldwell Cigars. I like consistency!

I can’t wait to spark this again soon. Until then…

COVID-19 Day 426:
Cru Mexi-Sol, Dominican Republic, La Barba, Mexican Sun Grown, Ricochet, Tony Bellatto Today was Day-4 of my La Barba Cigar Adventure with this beefier “Sun Grown” version of the La Barba cigar line in this La Barba Ricochet Crü Mexi-So by La Barba Cigars / Caldwell Cigars. From my notes, this was another La Barba cigar with a very open draw… but flavorful…

As it turned out, the draw on this specimen of this Ricochet Crü Mexi-Sol delivered Creamy Leather, Dusty Earthy, and Oak tobacco flavors.

So far I’m happy with this cigar, but yesterday’s La Barba Ricochet (Orange Cigar Band) is turning out to be my favorite of the La Barba Line… except for of course the hard-to-find and rare La Barba’s One & Only cigar.

If I were offered one of these, I would smoke it again.

Cru Mexi-Sol, Dominican Republic, La Barba, Mexican Sun Grown, Ricochet, Tony Bellatto It was my first time with this cigar today and I enjoyed it…

Through an open draw, this handsome cigar in the La Barba Ricochet Crü Mexi-Sol was a pleasure to smoke with initial dark rich tobacco flavors with an earthy minerally finish.

I have another resting that I can’t wait to Blaze again… Stay tuned
