COVID-19 Day 700
Through an open draw come natural tobacco sweetness, bready notes, creamy cedar, nuts, and with a touch of leather with a zippy white pepper spice on the retrohale… Wow!
In the second half… Can you say vanilla wafers? Those small round cookies I used to eat when I was a child.
This is a great way to start the day. The only thing missing was a good cup of coffee in hand to go along with this Stellar Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno L’Ambassadeur!

COVID-19 Day 623
I was looking forward to smoking this Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno L’Ambassadeur today for the second time. When I smoked the first one I was involved in conversation and was only able to detect that this cigar was something special…
Once cut and lit, buttery smooth creamy smoke delivering slightly sweet natural tobacco flavors with a spicy white pepper retrohale. For a mild cigar, this cigar has a lot of nuanced tobacco flavors that offer a satisfying cigar journey.
At the halfway point, I’m happy to report that leather tobacco flavors have joined the party… the retrohale still has a spicy zing that needs to be respected.
At the final third, I think I’m picking up some ginger notes as well. Although this is a mild cigar, it has much to offer in the way of subtle nuanced tobacco flavors… probably for the more experienced cigar smoker who has the patience to let this cigar warm-up and do it’s thing!
I’d smoke this Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno again for sure if one were offered… these are pretty spendy for my 2021 buying mandates (restrictions). Maybe I should try a larger Vitola next time… although a have a couple more of these waiting for me in the TupperDor.

COVID-19 Day 425:
Today was my First Time smoking this unexpected treat in this buttery smooth Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno L’Ambassadeur (Lonsdale) from All-Class-BOTL Ed Wong aka @Tight_Game of Drew Estate fame.
The Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno is a “Refined” cigar delivering buttery smooth and creamy tobacco flavors of browned butter, soft leather, and nuts.
I was occupied in conversation at the time I smoked this beautifully crafted Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno L’Ambassadeur (Lonsdale) so it didn’t get my undivided attention, so I’m really looking forward to smoking this again… with my full attention!
Thank you, Ed!
