This morning’s Breakfast Cigar at Sellwood Cigar in Portland, Oregon was with this JFR Lunatic Shaggy Foot Torch in Churchill.

I recently discovered the newer 2020 blend of the Lunatic Torch (Lunatic Torch Visionaries) and was duly impressed.

So, imagine my surprise and curiosity when I discovered these “Old and Aged” Lunatic Shaggy Foot Torches for sale at $6.00! I had to try them and so, here it is. Supposedly, the blends are the same, but I had some distinct differences… maybe because these had some “Age” on them.

Starting out the Shaggy Footer was at least twice as long as the new blend and produced volumes of smoke from this uncut footer… Wow! Overall, I thought the intensity of flavors was not as deep and “Full” as the newer versions that I’ve smoked, but instead; offered an “airy” loose draw of cedar-wood and pepper. Something I didn’t notice as much on the new blend… I guess I’ll have to smoke one soon.
