COVID-19 Day 454
Right frim the beggining after sparking this Illusione La Grande Classe Rex… I get cinnamon spices along with some smooth creamy oak tobacco flavors with a decent pepper spice on the retrohale. Soon underlying coffee notes and some subtle sweetness appear… this Illusione La Grande Classe Rex is a joy to smoke.

I’ll have to wait for the correct moment to make these a fixture in the TupperDor.

COVID-19 Day 372:
This seldom seen and under the radar, La Grande Classe Rex by Illusione Cigars… has arrived and is ready to smoke! This will be my second time with this after I’ve let it rest for a couple of months (01.24.2021)… I can already tell the difference!

From its new fresh off-the-truck harshness to its now smooth and mellow tobacco flavors, this little Illusione La Grande Classe Rex is starting to come into its own. I’ll spark it again in a couple of months and see how she’s progressing… I’m guessing this will buy me enough time to save some pennies so that I’ll be able to purchase a bundle of these tasty gems.

This cigar is a takeoff from Dion Giolito’s / illusione’s La Gran Classe release that was an exclusive in his Reno, Nevada shop. It is released in a 4 5/8 x 40 petit corona size known as “Rex”. These are still produced in limited quantities (From Fox Cigars)
