COVID-19 Day 512
Today was my second time with this Illusione Cruzado Robusto by Illusione Cigars. I wasn’t convinced that this cigar would make the cut the last time I smoked it… Let’s see what she does today.
Through a perfect draw… smooth and bitter coffee and cedar tobacco flavors are coming to me with a soft black pepper flavor on the retrohale. I’m progressing past the second third with no discernable flavor changes… just more of the same smooth but dry tobacco flavors with the retrohale ramping up a bit more.
Truth be told, this wasn’t one of my favorite Illusione cigars when I first smoked it in this Vitola, and this is meeting those diminished expectations… Not bad, but not great, and I’m not smiling, so, there is no “Eureka” moment for me with this blend.
Even though the draw remains flawless, the smoke is starting to get warmer delivering those roasted nutty tobacco flavors… Signaling to me that the harsh and bitter end is near.
Stay Smoky
Stay Chill
