COVID-19 Day 637
Honduras, HVC Cigars, HVC Pan Caliente, Nicaraguan Criollo, Nicaraguan Criollo ’98, Raices Cubanas, Reiner Lorenzo If I haven’t declared it before, I am now… this is an old fashion classic cigar of my yesteryears that delivered smooth creamy natural tobacco flavors of woody cedar, coffee, and cocoa notes with a leather finish. The retrohale is a mild white pepper spice.

In the second third, I’m detecting some roasted nut flavors along with the coffee and cocoa tobacco flavors. The continued creaminess makes for an interesting combination with the nut flavors I’m detecting.

2021 was the year that I made a point of trying and discovering more cigars like this HVC Pan Caliente by HVC Cigars. I was looking to explore the more nuanced and flavored-packed cigars beyond the heavy-handed Maduros of the Broadleaf kind. This HVC Pan Caliente is a gem!

Until next time…

As of today, it’s “Official”… I’m in love with this HVC Pan Caliente in Doble Corona by HVC Cigars!

From an easy creamy smoky draw come dry cedar, earthy leather, and sweet cream tobacco flavors with a retrohale of pepper spice that’s perfect for this blend.
I’m loving this cigar… It’s become a dependable source of exquisite tobacco flavors that I have developed a craving for… creamy chewy smoke of leather… what more could I ask for in this blend?

COVID-19 Day 525
Honduras, HVC Cigars, HVC Pan Caliente, Nicaraguan Criollo, Nicaraguan Criollo ’98, Raices Cubanas, Reiner Lorenzo This is just another deliciously buttery smooth smoking experience with this HVC Pan Caliente in Corona Gorda by HVC Cigars today.

I think I need to stock up on these Pan Calientes… the “Cubenesque” style of this cigar and the tobacco flavors of cedar, leather, and a touch of cocoa with a decent amount of pepper spice on the retrohale is hitting my “Sweet-Spot”! The constructions of these are impressive too with a razor-sharp burn.

Yes, I’m stocking more in the TupperDor… Stay Tuned!

COVID-19 Day 430:
Honduras, HVC Cigars, HVC Pan Caliente, Nicaraguan Criollo, Nicaraguan Criollo ’98, Raices Cubanas, Reiner Lorenzo Right from the “Get-Go”, from this HVC Pan Caliente in Corona Gorda by HVC Cigars, Cedar, Earthy Natural Tobacco flavors with slightly Sweetened Hay… and a Soft Pepper Spice on the retrohale.

I’m impressed! I’d say this HVC Pan Caliente was a nice affordable cigar at around $6-Bucks a pop. Although there was nothing this Pan Caliente that made me go Wow, it sure was a dandy in a “Classical” sense… it was just a Damn Good Cigar!

I can’t wait to smoke it again… maybe I should see what the other Vitolas have to offer.
