COVID-19 Day 293:
Truth be told, I was a little bit more than dubious when I embarked on this First-Time smoking journey with this Highclere Castle Victorian by Foundation Cigars.
It seems as though I’ve been smoking too many over-hyped cigars lately so apologies for my “jaded” impressions. Maybe it was because of the “Colonial” theme behind this cigar that got me off in the wrong direction… but after studying the components of this Highclere Castle Victorian cigar, I was starting to recognize that there might be some potential with this cigar.
Right away I recognized how smooth and balanced the smoky earthy tobacco flavors were coming through a perfect draw… this is what I would expect from a $15.00 cigar! So far… this is not your usual Habano wrapped cigar… outstanding!
At the second third, I’m smoking away and luxuriating in the well-balanced blend from this Foundation Cigar delivering a continuation of the from the first third… Smoky!
During the last third, my eye opened and I admitted to myself that this was a pretty dang good cigar… like a $15.00 cigar should! And, I was trying not to like it… go figure.
Now I have to start looking for some of the other Vitolas to try and try to find them at a reasonable price… it’s a good thing I have another one of these Toros in the TupperDor.
Stay Smoky
Stay Chill
