Gran Habano S.T.K. Black Dahlia Corona Gorda

07/06/2021
COVID-19 Day 470
Gran Habano, Gran Habano S.T.K. Black Dahlia, Nicaraguan Shade Grown Corojo I’ve been waiting to spark this gift from the folks at Gran Habano Cigars since I received it way back in October of 2019… Today was the day!

From my first-time puffs through a very open draw, I discovered a mild to medium (more on the mild side) experience at the start of this Gran Habano S.T.K. Black Dahlia Corona Gorda delivering malty, cedar-like tobacco flavors with a decent white pepper hit on the retrohale.

A slight honey sweetness arrives at the second third along with a high note of cedar on the finish. The retrohale remained the same as the body notches up a slight bit from mild to medium.

I’m at the last third and this specimen that has been marinating for a couple of years now is starting to taste and smoke like a fuller flavored cigar now (medium body). The very open draw at the start was throwing me off. I like the mouthfeel much better now that this has warmed up.

Gran Habano was touting this as a strong and spicy flavor bomb… OK… Where?
