COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 391: 2.0-Mile Cigar
I was hoping for a longer Cigar Walk with this Four Kicks Maduro in Robusto by Crowned Heads, but I wasn’t surprised since its Ecuadorian Habano wrapped sister had a similar smoking time.
Starting off with a dark rich chocolaty woodiness with an underlying touch of bitterness I make my way on this morning’s trek that ended too soon.
I might have to try one of the larger Vitolas of this blend the next time I take this out for a Cigar Walk… and it might be worthy of smoking this inside again to be better able to pick up some of the more nuanced flavors and traditions… Until Next time…

What can I say; a snip and a cut and chocolate toast fill my nostrils.
Once lit, a perfect draw with slightly less than normal draw that is consistent with the last one I smoked. The Four Kicks Maduro by Crowned Heads presented no issues with the burn or the draw the whole way through.
Earthy coffee smoke fills my mouth with a leather finish and the pepper spice on the retrohale that lets me know it’s there (in a good way).
This is a good cigar and I enjoyed it. It lacks any transitions that I could detect, but the flavors were most of what I look for in a good smoke.
When I find this for the correct price, I’ll pick up some more. This is 5-pack worthy.

For my second Crowned Heads Four Kicks cigar, I decided to try a modified “Dickman-Cut” with my punch. It created a “direct” open cold draw that tasted of sweet chocolate. Hmmm, a hint of things to come?
One lit, the perfect draw produced tons of dry cocoa-earthy-woody-smoke. The smoke production is amazing and pours into my mouth with little resistance; discipline is in order or I’ll have a “hot” cigar.
I’m halfway through and turning into a woody bakers chocolate cigar with a perfect draw and copious amount of earthy-leather-chewy smoke. I can now start to identify cayenne pepper on the retrohale.
While this is a full-flavored and full-bodied cigar, it still left me feeling that there was something that was missing; it wasn’t as balanced as I didn’t get any high-notes (spice), so I guess my beginner palate would suggest that this is kind of a one dimensional cigar.
I have more, so stay tuned.

My first The Crowned Heads Four Kicks cigar looked like a handsome rustic stick that promised to deliver and it did!
After about 10 minutes the cigar opened up for me and delivered my first mouthful of Pepper and Cedar that mellowed out after the first 3rd providing a beautiful smooth ride the rest of the way as long as I paced my draws; too fast and It heated up with a little Pepper Spice… if that’s what you like… “Hammer It”.
A couple of touch-ups at the end, but, for the most part, an excellent burn with lots of smoke,
