COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 125: 1.25-Mile Cigar
I was surprised on this morning’s Cigar-Walk at how fast this AVO Syncro Nicaragua Fogata in Robusto burned… it ended up being only a 1.25-Mile cigar!
I was really looking forward to smoking the AVO Syncro Nicaragua Fogata since it had been since February 2019 when I smoke my first one and had a pleasant experience with it.
Maybe because I was outside smoking this that it burned so quickly… then again, maybe not. I have another one left, so I’ll keep it for another couple of months and see what happens next time.

My first Avo Fogata cigar was way back in March 2018. It was a gift from Cigar Sensei aka Mark Dikeos of Pacific Motorsports. I really enjoyed its Robusto size when I smoked it last August. At the time, I wasn’t confident with my cigar palate and I’m still continuing my journey to improve and learn, but I like it enough to pursue a 5-pack purchase although I bought the wrong size.
I have to admit I’m not usually partial to 60-gauge cigars as a matter of fact, I think I may have only had one or none before, so here we go.
This thing is huge. My jaw is going to get tired. From a perfect draw flows creamy smooth nutty smoke with malty caramel notes with a sharp pepper spice on the retrohale. Of course, it must be from the Mexican San Andrés binder and the Ligero filler check out all the Dominican tobaccos that contribute to this cigar. So far a very enjoyable and pleasant smoking experience.
I just realized that I’m already at the last third of this Avo Fogata. For a 6 inch, 60-gauge cigar this is a relatively fast smoking cigar. Already at the final third of this creamy smooth smoke with leather come onto the finish and still producing the sharp spice on the retrohale.
Yes, I’m diggin’ this Avo Fogata cigar. Next time I’m seeking smaller gauges of this; Robusto for sure, maybe I’ll try even smoothing smaller in ring size.

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 89: 3.5-Mile Cigar
What more can I say about this Connecticut Broadleaf “Classic” in the “Original” La Aroma De Cuba “New Blend” in Robusto.
This morning I was kept company on the 3.5-Mile homestretch of my Cigar Walk with this perfectly constructed cigar.
I probably need to get serious and purchase a box to have these readily on hand.

The La Aroma De Cuba New Blend is another classic cigar that will have a permanent home in my TupperDor. I should smoke more of these very affordable cigars and more often!
The La Aroma De Cuba New Blend greets me with smooth creamy smoke that delivers coffee, cocoa, and leather… this cigar hits all my checkboxes with a slight kick on the retrohale but on the milder side. The draw is perfect and the burn is razor-sharp indicative of these expertly rolled cigars from My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua.
I’m just past the halfway point and I’m very happy with my choice this morning. Deep rich chewy flavors riding through a perfect draw.
I’m game for this affordable cigar anytime, anywhere! One of my favorites.

Today’s La Aroma De Cuba New Blend by Ashton Cigar was a great experience. So much so that I don’t know why I don’t smoke these more often. After all, I just rediscovered that the wrapper is my favorite Connecticut Broadleaf.
Let’s get this going. I’ve had these La Aroma De Cuba New Blend Robustos marinating since July when I purchased them from CigarPage.com for a whopping $4.50! Oh, and before I forget, this is a “New Blend” with Pepin Garcia’s magic added.
Having just read about Pepin Garcia’s involvement, I didn’t get that much pepper spice from this cigar. I did get a smooth creaminess that I wasn’t expecting. As I progressed toward the middle of the cigar, cocoa, coffee, wood, earth, and leather made their presence known thus providing all that I need to complete the checkboxes of flavors.
This cigar is an affordable winner and #FingerBurner. I can’t wait to light one up again.

COVID-19 Day 381: 2.0-Mile Cigar
Finger-Burner! Wow! A great way to start the day! … Sweet Leather and Wood kept me company on this tasty 2.0-Mile Cigar Walk with the Nub Cameroon 358 (3.7” x 58. Gordo)
This is an “Affordable” simple cigar sans the subtle nuances and transitions of a more sophisticated cigar, but, this comes with plenty of satisfying flavors from the first puff until the Finger Burning end to my morning trek… It had been over a year since I smoked this cigar last, so I was very happy to get reacquainted with this smooth smoking cigar!
I think I need to have these in stock in the TupperDor for some future Cigar Walks!

This was my second experience with the Nub Cameroon this one was in the 358 (Gordo) size; my first (10.25.19) was the Nub 466 Box-Press Torpedo Cameroon.
As I stated in my first impression of the Nub 466 Box-Press Torpedo Cameroon, these larger ring gauge cigars just aren’t my cup of tea.
Especially with today’s experience… I will say that these cigars appear to be firmly packed… maybe too much so. Mine was packed that I was having a difficult time with its very tight draw. After trying to fuss with it by cutting more off the cap and eventually trying to poke through with a toothpick, I got tired of sucking on this thing… My cheekbones hurt now.
I could tell that there were some decent tobacco flavors in the Nub Cameroon 358 (Gordo), but it just wasn’t worth the effort.
Maybe next time as I recently purchased a sample pack that included a few NUbs.

As I take that first puff, I’m hit with a wave of earthy dark chocolate and espresso notes, with just a hint of spice dancing on my palate with a bit of leather on the finish. The draw is smooth, allowing me to fully appreciate the intricate blend of flavors.
As I close out the first third, leather makes a more dominant presence in the tobacco flavors and I’m happy about that.
Moving into the second third, a subtle sweetness to the mix. The flavors begin to deepen, with more dominant leather tobacco flavors and earthiness coming through. The retrohale brings a whole new dimension to the experience, intensifying the spice and bringing out some woody undertones.
As we reach the final third, a complex and satisfying finish to this cigar. The spice ramps up, leaving a lingering warmth on the palate, while the rich tobacco flavors continue to evolve with each puff. The retrohale remains bold and invigorating, accentuating the full-bodied nature of the cigar.
Overall, the Roma Craft CroMagnon is a powerhouse of flavor, with a well-balanced blend that keeps you coming back for more. Whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or just dipping your toes into the world of cigars, this one is sure to impress.

I haven’t smoked too many of the RoMa Craft Tobac’s CroMagnon cigars and I don’t know why not… I should these are full-bodied deliciousness!
Today’s CroMagnon in Knuckle Dragger was a perfect compliment to ending my Sunday at the Sakamoto Office with its deep rich leather, earthy tobacco and cocoa riding in there with plenty of smoke to wash over me along with a pretty tame retrohale at this point.
At the halfway point and my eyes are tearing from the black pepper spice on the retrohale… here comes the strength from this powerful full-bodied cigar.
I need to put these CroMagnons by Roma Craft Tobac in the cigar rotation more often. These are right in my wheelhouse.

Today, I get to smoke the CroMagnon Knuckle Dragger (Petite Robusto) by RoMa Craft Tobac. I kept hearing about how great these cigars and I’ve been wanting to try them all. So far, so good!
My cold draw and sniff of the CroMagnon Knuckle Dragger provided barnyard and leather aromas on the firmly packed and hefty cigar for its size. A punch cut this time on the perfect flat cap delivered earthy, leathery flavors with very little resistance on the draw.
Once lit, smooth coffee and something sweet but in the background… caramel, chocolate? Oh, did I mention that the retrohale almost made one eye start to water?
At the end of the first third and the smoke is pouring out volumes of oily earthy tobacco flavors that coat my tongue for a long medium to full-bodied experience. My eyeballs are starting to sweat.
At the last third and I determine that the CroMagnon Knuckle Dragger is one of the more powerful and full-bodied cigars I’ve had and it strength lets you know it’s there too. Earthy sweet flavors are going to take me home to the finish with this one.
I think these need to be handy and available in the TupperDor.

COVID-19 Day 830:
Today was another example of why I’m considering not smoking outside where tobacco flavors are more nuanced… in my opinion or at least for me, these should be smoked indoors where I can better utilize my olfactory senses to better experience the full story of flavors that this brings.
I know full well that this Guardian of the Farm Campeon by Warped / Aganorsa Leaf provides those tobacco flavors that are right in my wheelhouse where everything comes together with this Aganorsa blend of delicious tobaccos.
