Corojo, El Güegüense, Foundation Cigars, Nicaraguan Corojo 99, Nick Melillo, The Wise Man It’s no secret that this was probably one of the first Foundation Cigars that I truly fell in love with… especially this Vitola. There was something about the Aganorsa Leaf Corojo ’99 that resonated with my palate.

I had made a note of my previous experience smoking this El Gueguense (Wise Man) as it had a pretty snug draw that had me struggling to eke out some of those tobacco flavors that made me choose this cigar to smoke today in the first place. No draw issues today!

Once lit, familiar tobacco flavors of subtle dried fruit, earthy cedar wood, cocoa, and leather welcome me with a decent pepper spice on the retrohale.

At about the halfway point, I was almost going to take back what I said about the draw as the draw from my Punch-Cutter was getting tight… but never fear, My perfect cutter took care of an issue after a couple of snips and I’m thoroughly enjoying this smoky treat now.

I can’t wait to smoke this again!

Corojo, El Güegüense, Foundation Cigars, Nicaraguan Corojo 99, Nick Melillo, The Wise Man This Nick Melillo blended El Gueguense (Wise Man) in Corona Gorda, by Foundation Cigars is a cigar that I normally rave about, but today I had some draw issues that made it hard for me to appreciate some of the finer qualities of this El Gueguense (Wise Man).

Today’s specimen was hard to draw and kept tunneling… I don’t think it was the humidification that was causing this, as other cigars in the same container are smoking just fine and dandy… Oh well!

Until next time.

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 130: 3.0-Mile Cigar
Corojo, El Güegüense, Foundation Cigars, Nicaraguan Corojo 99, Nick Melillo, The Wise Man This is apparently the first time I’ve taken the El Güegüense (Wise Man) in this Corona Gorda Vitola out for a morning Cigar Walk… and it didn’t disappoint… as usual

This Nicaraguan (Aganorsa Leaf) Corojo Puro, the El Güegüense (Wise Man) in Corona Gorda, by Foundation Cigars has never failed to please and satisfy!

Now, after smoking this, I want another… maybe in Robusto next time.

Corojo, El Güegüense, Foundation Cigars, Mick Melillio, Nicaraguan Corojo 99, The Wise ManWow, another Fantastic cigar that I’ve somehow ignored for a better part of a year, the El Gueguense (The Wise Man) in Corona Gorda, by Foundation Cigars

Creamy chewy smoke! Just the way I like it. Again, I can’t believe that it’s been so long since I’ve smoked this magnificent cigar.

Creamy earthy tobaccos with a touch of cocoa with a very mild retrohale through a perfect draw via my new V-Cutter are what this cigar delivers.

At the second third a bit of leather joins the party while chewy smoke pours freely making way for my autopilot cigar smoking as I just want to relax with this cigar.

At the last third, almonds or almond paste enters the mix with chewy earthy leather laden smoke. The retrohale is still on the mild side; not quite what I was expecting… and I’m good with that.

I’m lovin’ El Gueguense (The Wise Man) in Corona Gorda, by Foundation Cigars and I want more please!

A Nicaraguan Corojo 99 Puro along with a mixture of Corojo and Criollo filler tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa; what could be bad.

This cigar delivered some sweetness on the cold draw that after blazed produced a perfect draw with a razor burn and lots of smoke. Big flavors to start of pepper and wood that mellowed at the first 3rd. The rest was a creamy smooth ride until the final 3rd. the Pepper Spice started to pick up so I decided to take my time with this… Sure enough, everything smoothed out…

I’m learning…
