El Centurian H2K-CT by My Father Cigars

Connecticut Hybrid, El Centurian H2K-CT, Esteli, H-2K-CT, My Father Cigars, Nicaragua, USAI’m glad I found and chose this El Centurian H2K-CT by My Father Cigars to smoke this morning. It’s been July since I’ve had my last one. When I discovered the El Centurians, I was thinking that these would be my perfect morning “Sunroof” cigars and I wasn’t wrong. It’s now a snowy February in Portland, Oregon and this should be in the regular rotation of smokes.

A snip and a punch for this box-pressed cap… my cold draw provided chocolate and citrus notes. Once lit, smooth chewy smoke right off the start of earthy, cocoa and leather. The spice on the retrohale didn’t show up until I was about an inch into it. It’s all smooth sailing from here. Diggin’ it.

At the second third and I didn’t detect any transitions, so, all is still good and smoky. This is a very enjoyable medium to full flavored cigar. Perfect draw, near perfect burn line, and perfect for the first cigar of the day.

At the last third, the flavors have ramped up; coffee and almond paste come to mind on the lingering finish as the pepper spice is starting to live up to cigars with the Pepin DNA.

FYI: This Toro sized cigar was a two-hour smoke, so be sure to budget luxuriating time to enjoy this. #SakamotoHappy
