COVID-19 Day 179:
Well, Hallelujah! Last week I started smoking my way through the C.L.E. and EIROA “Best Of” Samplers that I had purchased almost a year ago at Sellwood Cigar. I have been somewhat surprised at the fast smoking times of all the C.L.E. samples and having smoked the EIROA “Classic” and “The First 20 Years Colorado” I was starting to think the same of this EIROA Sampler until I came upon the “The First 20 Years” in Robusto (BP) by EIROA Cigars.
Finally, I smoked an EIROA Robusto cigar that lasted more than 40 minutes. The C.L.E. cigars get a pass because they’re priced correctly, but I mean, I hate to be that “Value-Guy” but if a cigar company is going to charge “Premium Prices” for a “Premium Cigar” ($10.00 – $12.00) it had better last long enough for me to enjoy it. I’m not partial anymore to these “Wham Bam Thank you for your Money” cigars… I Rant!
The Eiroa “The First 20 Years” is a winner
BUT, my point is this Eiroa “The First 20 Years” in Robusto was Fantastic with its dark and flavorful Honduran (Mexican-Seed) wrapper; this was like smoking Mexican Hot Chocolate with it’s creamy smooth smoke and delivery to welcomed slightly sweet cocoas tobacco flavors with a bit of cinnamon and pepper spice that provided a little kick on the retrohale. I was able to enjoy this cigar for more than an hour.
I think I’ll pursue this cigar in a Toro (MSRP $13.00) or I wonder if there’s a Lancero version of this?…
