Drew Estate BOTL 2019 Corona Gorda and Lancero

02/24/2020
BOTL 2019, Connecticut Broadleaf, Corona Gorda, Drew Estate, Lancero Today was my first time smoking this Drew Estate BOTL 2019 in Lancero. I didn’t know quite what to expect, but I was hoping that the Drew Estate reputation for smoky cigars would prevail.

Once lit, earthy tobacco flavors with cocoa and a black coffee finish are delivered through a perfect smoky draw. The retrohale is a well-rounded black pepper flavor with just a tad bit of spice at this point.

At the second third, coffee, cocoa, and leather arrive to keep me company. The draw is what I was hoping for… the typical Drew Estate smoky draw with a retrohale that delivers black pepper spice. I make note of this notable feature of most Drew Estate cigars that I’ve smoked because as I have been smoking my way through Lancero February, I’ve noticed that these thin cigars (Lancero) are at times difficult to keep lit without puffing the crap out of them.

At the last third, I can say that this is a delicious cigar. I’m glad I have a couple in the Corona size to blaze soon enough. Thick smoke delivers deep rich earthy and leather flavors with a perfect retrohale… I’m in!
