COVID-19 Day 518
Today was my first time with this My Father “S” Special in Robusto by My Father Cigars. Truth be told, my expectations were not that high.
Once lit, though a perfect draw with just the correct amount of resistance came creamy smoke delivering dry slightly sweet woody cedar notes, with coffee and leather tobacco flavors on the finish along with a nice soft pepper spice on the retrohale… the retrohale was milder than what I was expecting, but it was perfect for this cigar.
Cruising thru the first third and well into the second half, not many changes in flavors… just more of the same. At the last third, things started to heat up delivering those familiar nutty notes (almond paste) signaling (for me) that the end of this My Father “S” Special was soon to come.
I don’t think these are a general released cigar, so I doubt that I’ll be seeking more of these, but I still have another resting in the TupperDor, so we’ll see what the next one brings.
