CRAFT 2021 Ecuadorian Connecticut by RoMa Craft Cigars

COVID-19 Day 602
Overall, I’d have to say that this cigar was very enjoyable. The downside to this firmly tobacco-packed Vitola is a Vitola that I’m not accustomed to; having a strange feeling in my mouth from the slim beginning of this Perfecto to the HUGE 60-Guage middle that I’m not a fan of… I almost dropped this CRAFT 2021 Ecuadorian Connecticut a couple of times as its girth fumbled away from my fingers.

At the start, a unique experience… this is a first for me… After I lit this beast, I was initially perplexed by tobacco flavors that I wasn’t used to… was it the Indonesian tobacco that brought these flavors… the first inch or so reminded me of dry tea leaves with a grapefruit finish. The retrohale provides some gentle white pepper spices.

I’m almost to the halfway point and I can’t put my finger on some of the tobacco flavors that are coming thru… I’m detecting creamy cocoa and coffee tobacco flavors with a white pepper spice on the retrohale that is still tame, but poignant. I’m getting a tobacco flavor that I think I recall getting from other RoMa Craft cigars… I keep going back to the Indonesian wrapper … is this what provides the tobacco flavor I can’t put my finger on?

Eureka! I think I may have figured out what my mystery flavor is as I reach the last third… It’s leather, the earthy kind… WOW!

Now I can relax and enjoy the rest of this cigar. As much as I enjoyed this CRAFT 2021 Ecuadorian Connecticut by RoMa Craft Cigars, I don’t know if I’d purchase anymore, but I’d certainly smoke one if it were offered to me! … and I DO have another marinating in the TupperDor (Candela).
