COVID-19 Day 935:
Connecticut Broadleaf, Connecticut Valley Reserve, Dominican Republic, Flores y Rodriguez, PDR Cigars I lost a dear friend and BOTL last Tuesday (10.11.22). For a few of years, Ralph Larson and I would always connect in person at one of our favorite Cigar Lounges in Beaverton, Oregon, and would forever jaw on current events of the day or week and compare cigar notes of our favorite cigars or newly discovered blend.

Ralph, this Connecticut Valley Reserve Maduro in Robusto by Flores y Rodriguez / PDR Cigars is for you. I’ll always remember when you introduced this cigar to me when we first met I think in 2019. This will always remain in my TupperDor.

Stay Smoky Brother wherever you may be… Peace!

COVID-19 Day 594
Connecticut Broadleaf, Connecticut Valley Reserve, Dominican Republic, Flores y Rodriguez, PDR Cigars It’s been a few months since I’ve smoked this delicious cigar… My reminiscing about this Connecticut Valley Reserve Maduro came to fruition today reuniting me with its earthy malty mocha, and rich coffee tobacco flavors from a perfect draw producing mouthfuls of chewy smoke.

I’m taking my time luxuriating with this today… I love this cigar!

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 434: 1.5-Mile Cigar
Connecticut Broadleaf, Connecticut Valley Reserve, Dominican Republic, Flores y Rodriguez, PDR Cigars Well, I’m perplexed! I thought for sure that I would get at least a couple of miles from this Connecticut Valley Reserve Maduro in Robusto by Flores y Rodriguez (PDR Cigars).

The earthy, chocolate, and leather flavors I was looking forward to enjoying were too short-lived… Oh well.

I thought it might have been the humidity levels in the TupperDor, but I just check and everything is where it should be.

A mystery for sure!

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 215: 2.5-Mile Cigar
Connecticut Broadleaf, Connecticut Valley Reserve, Dominican Republic, Flores y Rodriguez, PDR Cigars Do cold weather temperatures make cigars smoke faster? I’ve been noticing that my cigars are being consumed at a faster rate than normal on these morning Cigar Walks… is it because I have the cigar in hand, or is it because of the change to colder temperatures?

Anyway, I knew this was bound to be a deep and rich Cigar Walk with this oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapped Connecticut Valley Reserve Maduro by Flores y Rodriguez

This specimen has been marinating in the TupperDor for two years (February 2018)… and it was Tasty!

COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 140: 3.0-Mile Cigar
Connecticut Broadleaf, Connecticut Valley Reserve, Dominican Republic, Flores y Rodriguez, PDR Cigars The Connecticut Valley Reserve by Flores y Rodriguez is about as handsome and delicious as you can get with a cigar.

This morning’s 3-Mile trek with this firmly packed Connecticut Broadleaf wrapped Connecticut Valley Reserve Maduro in Robusto was a perfect combination to keep me company in a flavorful way… I need to pull these out more often. I keep forgetting about them.

Connecticut Broadleaf, Connecticut Valley Reserve, Flores y RodriguezAhhhhhh, Earth, Cocoa, Spice, Coffee, Wood, Earth, Nutty, Charred Meat, Chocolate, and Cherry Sweetness.

This is my third Connecticut Valley Reserve by Flores y Rodriguez and I’m rejoicing because I know I can sit back and enjoy those flavors I just described.

I’m totally in my comfort zone with this cigar that hits pretty much all my flavor checkboxes.

These can be hard to find at the correct price, so either spend the dough or look for these to go on sale. I think they’re normally around $15-bucks… Ouch!
