COVID-19 Day 571
Being that this is Warped Cigars first venture to the Dominican Republic with this Warped Chinchalle…. Not bad, not bad, not bad!
Once lit, the excellence in construction becomes evident through a perfect draw delivering some familiar Dominican Republic tobacco flavors that kind of took me by surprise as I forgot that the feature of this blend is that it is made from the Dominican Republic tobacco … not the typical Nicaraguan tobacco flavors that I’ve become accustomed to (Aganorsa Leaf Tobacco).
I don’t know what Kyle Gellis’s concept was for this cigar at this moment that I’m smoking this, but I’d gather a good guess that he was paying some respect to the old Cuban cigars of yesteryear… What do you think?
This Warped Chinchalle in Robusto by Warped Cigars took me back to some of those more nuanced tobacco flavors of slightly earthy soft leather with some slightly fruity sweetness along with a retrohale of soft white pepper and grapes.
All of sudden, I’m at the last third … I almost forgot to pay attention to this … I was sailing through this up until this point when the tobacco flavors started to get more punchy and bitter… Probably from my quest to eke out more deliciousness from this exquisite First-Time experience with this Warped Chinchalle cigar.
I had a good time with this new and “fresh” cigar. I cannot wait to see how it will behave in a couple of months.
