COVID-19 Day 832
Charter Oak, Charter Oak Maduro, Charter Oak Maduro Toro, Connecticut Broadleaf, Dueto Gran Toro, Foundation Cigars, Nicaragua, Nick Melillo What a treat getting reacquainted with tasty Charter Oak Maduro in Toro by Foundation Cigars today. The Foundation Charter Oak Maduro is a very “Affordable” and approachable cigar that should fit any cigar budget out there.

Once lit, this Charter Oak Maduro gave me plenty of dark coffee, burnt caramel, and black pepper riding on chewy smoke… the retrohale is a spicy black pepper that suited me just fine and dandy.

This is an impressive budget cigar delivering smoky full flavors and I can’t wait to smoke it again.

Until next time…

COVID-19 Day 634
Charter Oak, Charter Oak Maduro, Charter Oak Maduro Toro, Connecticut Broadleaf, Dueto Gran Toro, Foundation Cigars, Nicaragua, Nick Melillo I used to smoke this Charter Oak Maduro in Toro by Foundation Cigars quite regularly a while back. As you can see it’s been well over a year since I’ve smoked this fine cigar.

Today, through a perfect draw, medium-bodied chewy smoke delivers earthy baking chocolate, dark coffee, dried fruit, and cedar tobacco flavors with a mild black pepper retrohale… I’m detecting some leather flavors on the finish and I’m diggin’ that.

Charter Oak, Charter Oak Maduro, Charter Oak Maduro Toro, Connecticut Broadleaf, Dueto Gran Toro, Foundation Cigars, Nicaragua, Nick Melillo At the second third smooth cocoa and leather, tobacco flavors come to the front providing a very enjoyable experience. The burn is amazingly razor-sharp; this speaks to the quality of the construction of these Charter Oak cigars.

Although not an overly complex cigar, this Charter Oak Maduro by Foundation Cigars provided quality enjoyment with consistent tobacco flavors and a performance that even surprised me.

Yes, I can’t wait to smoke this again!

Charter Oak, Charter Oak Maduro, Connecticut Broadleaf, Foundation Cigars, Nicaragua, Nick Melillo It had been so long that I had almost forgotten how good the affordable Charter Oak Maduro by Foundation Cigars are… In a hashtag, #SoGood!

So, from the boss of Connecticut Broadleaf aka Nick Melillo, let’s fire this up.

Earthy chocolate and leather are the flavors right off the bat have shown up for the start of this cigar with a retrohale that has some spice to it. The mouth-feel from the smoke is chewy and oily through a perfect draw.

At the second third, everything is humming along and I’m happy just to sit back and enjoy this experience.

I’m at the last third with a perfect draw and razor sharp burn and I’m just simply enjoying this often-overlooked smooth cigar with its chewy smoke. I’ve to start keeping this in mind as I seek cigars with a dark rich flavor profile.
