You know when the “signs” are there and you choose to ignore them…
Today is the first time with the CAO Brazilia, I was looking forward to maybe discovering that the DNA held true to this cigar from the CAO Amazon Basin I enjoyed a few weeks back.
After a snip and a cut off the cigar cap is when I discovered a slightly soft and almost mushy feel to this cigar. Once cut, the cap wanted to unravel leaving bits of small tobacco as I took my first draw from this good looking stick.
The draw was allowing me to perfectly draw effortlessly the volumes of smoke from this freshly lit cigar. The only thing… I kept having to pick out small bits of tobacco from my mouth… Uggggh!
At this point, I’m perturbed as I was really looking forward to relaxing with this cigar to end my day with only to discover some small holes and tears in the wrapper… Oh well, let’s see what happens.
My O.C.D. sets in and I’m checking the footer every 5-minutes and lo and behold, the wrapper starts to unravel… another “Oh well” and I say to myself, well at least it still smokes; just without the wrapper.
To say anything specific about the CAO Brazilia at this point would be fruitless since all the flavor components weren’t playing well together for this particular specimen. I’ll have to attempt this at another time.
At least the cigar band was larger than most and helped me plow thru the rest of the cigar and, it wasn’t a bad tasting cigar, I just couldn’t really speak to the “flavor” experience since the wrapper was basically missing.
Next time!
