Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express Toro by Caldwell Cigar

COVID-19 Day 741
Caldwell, Caldwell Cigars, Condegan Criollo ’98, Connecticut Arapiraca Maduro, Dominican Corojo, Dominican Habano, Dominican Republic, Eastern Standard Midnight Express, Toro There are two Caldwell Cigar Blends that made me go “WOW” right from the first puff… and the first love was Caldwell’s “The Last Tsar” cigar and this Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express in both the Robusto and today for the first time, the Toro Vitola.

Once lit, black pepper tobacco flavors hit the tip of my tongue as plenty of chewy smoke presented itself. Deep rich coffee and cocoa flavors soon followed on an earthy platform of tobacco flavors.

Moving on to the second third and for the rest of the way, complex notes of licorice riding on leather tobacco flavors join the party with a touch of vanilla… now this is what I was waiting for! The burn was perfect needing no touch-ups with a firm ash that held on for at least an inch before I got too nervous and knocked it off in the ashtray instead of my lap.

I love this cigar! And, I can’t wait to smoke it again, and again, and again!
