Caldwell, Caldwell Cigars, Condegan Criollo ’98, Connecticut Arapiraca Maduro, Dominican Corojo, Dominican Habano, Dominican Republic, Eastern Standard Oh Yeah! Hit me up one more time, please!

What a treat to be able to take this delicious Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express in Robusto out for my morning Cigar Walk… this was almost a Three-Mile Cigar!

I’ve only smoked a few of these Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express cigars and I’m fast becoming a fan of them… after all, one of my newly discovered favorite wrappers in the Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro is used in this blend… Flavor and Performance beyond compare!

The Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express delivered a perfect draw that didn’t need any maintenance and held on forever, even while I was walking… I’m keeping this cigar around and smoking it more often than I have been.

Caldwell, Caldwell Cigars, Condegan Criollo ’98, Connecticut Arapiraca Maduro, Dominican Corojo, Dominican Habano, Dominican Republic, Eastern Standard Through a perfect draw off my straight cut a full-bodied smoking experience is ahead of me.

Dry cocoa, earthy tobacco, and black pepper flavors keep me company at the start… this is what I was hoping for and expecting. The retrohale is a pleasant well-rounded soft black pepper spice that didn’t singe my nostrils.
At the second third all my favorite flavors come to me in this fantastic cigar; dark coffee (Expresso), cocoa, leather, and earthy tobacco… I’m lovin’ this Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express. I’m wondering why I’m not smoking one of these a week.

Caldwell, Caldwell Cigars, Condegan Criollo ’98, Connecticut Arapiraca Maduro, Dominican Corojo, Dominican Habano, Dominican Republic, Eastern Standard By this time I arrive at the final third, I’ve already fallen in love with this cigar again. As you may know by now, I’m a huge fan of Brazilian Tobacco and this has my signature favorite wrapper in the “hybrid“ Connecticut-Seed Arapiraca Maduro tobacco.

This is a Finger-Burner for sure!

Black Coffee, leather, and wood with an immediate blast of short-lived pepper blast gave me a very pleasant surprise at first puff with the Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express.

Wow!

After smoking the Caldwell Eastern Standard (Brazilian Mata Fina), my curiosity was piqued when I saw that the Midnight Express was wrapped in a hybrid “Connecticut Arapiraca Maduro”. This Connecticut Arapiraca hybrid wrapper had additional fermentation to get the darker color according to Cigar Coop.

I certainly was not disappointed with this cigar and will definitely be on the lookout to acquire more of these cigars. I’m going to gamble that a little more time in the TupperDor will only improve these already flavorful cigars.
