A Dominican Puro

Today’s Cabinet Seleccion Habano by Flores y Rodriguez had a bit tighter draw than remember, but this cigar still produces a decent amount of very pleasant smoke. The Entubado rolled goodness appears as earth, wood, and leather delivered in a very smooth way. This cigar has all the usual good flavors I’ve been seeking for recently in a cigar just a notch or two levels down and, good or bad (I didn’t mind), there was no pepper spice on the retrohale or anywhere that I could detect.

This is a very enjoyable cigar. Something that I wouldn’t mind smoking on the golf course or when I didn’t want to concentrate too much on what I was smoking. There were no major transitions that I can detect, just consistent earth, wood, and leather delivered via volumes of smoke. I can’t complain for what I paid for these…

Cabinet Seleccion Habano, Dominican Habano Vuelta Abajo, Flores y RodriguezI’ve smoked a couple of these since I purchased them back in June. I split a mazo of 24 cigars with Kurt Sussman for a whopping $30-Bucks!

I took the opportunity while driving into downtown Portland to fire one of these up again, a perfect Sunroof Cigar.

While pulling out of my garage, I welcomed creamy wood flavors that accompanied me until it brought on the pepper spice about 15 minutes into my journey to drop something off at the new law firm Daigle Law (aka Jamie Daigle).

I put the cigar down while I delivered my package and relit it once I arrived at The Chamber at 9900. It was smooth sailing from there as the pepper died way down and all that was left was discovering a touch of leather in there too.

I was amazed at how smooth the draw was, and then I read that these were rolled in the Entubado-Style of rolling. That makes perfect sense. I can’t wait to light this up again.
