COVID-19 Day 915:
What a treat to select this full-on flavorful Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro in Robusto by Caldwell Cigars.
It dawned on me this morning that I had recently purchased a nice handful of these about a month ago and I thought it was time to start smoking these more freely… and I’m glad I did!
Luscious slightly sweet Maduro smoke comes to me via the Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper assisted by the Umami tobacco flavors that I declared that the Ecuadorian Sumatra binder provides… I don’t want this cigar to end.
Hopefully, I’ll remember to visit this Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro again soon.
Until next time…
COVID-19 Day 779
This Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro by Caldwell Cigars hit the spot today. A perfect follow-up to the cigar that failed me before I sparked this one… and the perfect cigar to enjoy the slide show from BOTL Steven Beachner’s pilgrimage to Italy with his church group to visit significant religious (Christian/Catholic) historical sites… fascinating!
Steve did an excellent job of capturing his trip via his “pocket” camera that we all seem to have available in our back pockets these days… Great job Steve! Well Done!
Anyway, this Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro performed beautifully while I soaked up the beautiful artwork and cultures that Steve captured.
I can’t wait until the next time I spark this Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro.
COVID-19 Day 520
I guess if smoking this Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro by Caldwell Cigars once every two years is what it takes… then that’s what it will be! I can’t believe that I haven’t paid attention to this fine and dandy cigar after all this time.
Well, today was the day… I was waiting for Steven Beachner to show up at Sellwood Cigar Lounge and had just finished the Limited Edition 2021 of the “This Is Trouble” blend and had time to kill … so BOTL Curran Fouts offered up one of his Blind Man’s Bluff Maduros… Thank you!
Once lit, I could tell that this wasn’t as full-flavored as this Limited Edition 2021… the difference between the Pennsylvania Broadleaf in this wrapper compared to the San Andreas wrapper in the other plus maybe more full-flavored tobaccos in the Dominican Double Ligero Filler… But, this still delivered!
Through a perfect draw came those tobacco flavors that hit all my checkboxes… earthy coffee, cocoa, leather, and decent pepper spice on the retrohale… what more could I want?
I have one more of these Blind Man’s Bluff Maduros that has been resting since 2019… I think I should pursue these and purchase some more…
Really enjoyed my first time with the Blind Man’s Bluff by Caldwell Cigars today.
I was distracted by some table guests so I’ll need to wait until the next one, hopefully soon.
I can say that I enjoyed what limited attention I was able to give it… Deep and Rich Earthy flavors
So far, so good
