Black Works Studio S&R (Serpents and Rainbows) Corona Gorda by Black Works Studios Cigars

COVID-19 Day 738
I can’t believe that today was my first time with this Sumatra-wrapped S&R (Serpents and Rainbows) in Corona Gorda by Black Works Studios Cigars. I thought I had purchased a couple of these when they were first released but I couldn’t find them, so I purchased a couple more. I found this Black Works Studio Sumatra blend to be unique in their lineup. Not only is this the first time Black Works Studio has used Dominican tobaccos, but the Sumatra wrapper is unique as well and truth be told, this is what caught my attention.

Once lit, creamy smoke delivers slightly spicy earthy pepper… leather soon joins the party.

Moving toward the last third, the leather tobacco flavors come through loud and clear and I’m happy about that; I was just hoping that the deep powerful tobacco flavors that the Black Works Studios is known for would be the perfect companion to this Sumatra wrapper.

Don’t get me wrong: this is a very enjoyable cigar and quite the relief from the other “one-note” wonders of the Black Works Studio blends. I have another one resting in the TupperDor that I look forward to sparking again… and who knows, maybe I’ll find those other S&Rs that are missing.
