I had such a great experience with the Farce Connecticut yesterday that I was looking forward to trying the Balmoral Anejo XO Connecticut for the first time.
A snip and a cut and I’m pretty sure I got a whiff of sweet chocolate…
Once lit, sweet nutty bread with a very spicy retrohale appeared that I did expect from a Connecticut… very interesting.
At the second third, the sweetness goes away and volumes of creamy dry earthy smoke billows forth. The salt and pepper colored Ash does not want to fall off and hangs around making me nervous of an ash drop in my lap.
Creamy leather and nuts appear at the last third while volumes of generous smoke still keep me company. I expect these flavors to ramp up a bit as I near the end. The pepper spice is still keeping me company on the finish and I’m diggin’ this cigar.
