Today was my first time smoking the Lancero version of the Balmoral Anejo XO Oscuro and I’m a fan!
I am very happy and surprised at the Balmoral Anejo XO Oscuro in Lancero that I’m smoking today… on the very first day of my Lancero February 2020.
Through a perfect draw, maybe a little on the “too open” side, this cigar delivers… coffee, cocoa, and leather with just a splash of black pepper to coat my tongue for a “classy” finish. The retrohale echoes the black pepper with just a touch of spice to keep it interesting.
At the second third, the smoke is thick and plentiful delivering more of the flavors that I’ve come to love in the other vitolas of this Limited Edition cigar. Hats off to the roller who has expertly created this awesome cigar. It is performing beautifully; not to mention the awesome tobacco flavors that I expected came through.
At the last third, everything ramps up as two hours of smoking have concentrated everything toward the cap end… and I can’t stop smoking this… I want more.
Until next time.
