COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 482: 3.0-Mile Cigar
Extra miles on today’s Cigar Walk with this Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut (5.0 x 55) Rothschild Masivo. Accompanied this morning by the buttery creamy smooth Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut I had to keep adjusting my route as this particular specimen wanted to keep going.
After today’s experience, I’m wondering if I shouldn’t have purchase more of these before they went out of production… I think I’ll have to check and see if there are any more of these Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut around.
COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 200: 1.25-Mile Cigar
This Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut Rothschild Masivo is probably not my favorite Connecticut Cigar, but it is very enjoyable with creamy smooth chewy smoke with some nuanced tobacco flavors the slightly sweet honey nuts.
It’s an end of an Era
As with all the other Balmoral Cigars, this Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut Rothschild Masivo… is no longer in production.
Today was probably one of the last times that I’ll be able to just “Kiss” this cigar for mouthfuls of creamy, chewy smoke… I think I’m down to my last two.
COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 165: 1.25-Mile Cigar
Let’s see if I can get a few more steps from this morning’s Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut.
COVID-19 Cigar Walk, Day 126: 1.25-Mile Cigar
What a smooth way to start the day with my 5-Mile Cigar-Walk this morning and the Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut in Rothschild Masivo (5.0” x 55, Robusto)… My only complaint was that it didn’t last long enough. Turns out, this was only a 1.25-Mile cigar.
Maybe because the weather is warmer than the last time I smoked this while walking last April or, it’s because it was too much to have cigar in-hand and I could resist smoking it… I was hoping for a longer-lasting morning smoke.
Oh well, maybe next time
COVID-19 Cigar Walk 3.28Mi (5.26Km)
For future reference, I’ll repeat this again for posterity’s sake… We have all been “Ordered” by the Governor of Oregon to Stay in Place (Stay at Home) during this COVID-19 pandemic. Today is day 25.
So, what this means and how I’ve adapted is to incorporate my workouts (gyms are closed) with my “Daily Cigar” via the “Cigar Walk”. So far, so good, I’m still not used to detecting some of the subtler and nuanced tobacco flavors in the morning cold Spring air as well as smoking a cigar while walking… a new experience for sure.
Finding a cigar that matches the walking route or visa-versa is what I look forward to choosing every day now that we are to “Stay in Place”. It’s been a new journey determining what cigars are suitable for a two-mile walk and what works for a three-mile walk.
This morning selection in the Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut Rothschild Masivo was a perfect companion on today’s 3.28-mile trek. Creamy smooth and chewy smoke were great companions to keep my company this morning.
I can’t wait to do it again with the Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut Rothschild Masivo.
Cigar Aficionado just awarded the Balmoral Connecticut a 92 rating. I really enjoyed my first one a few weeks ago, let’s try it again.
This is the first time I’ve smoked this Balmoral Añejo XO Connecticut Rothschild Masivo a gift from Sellwood Cigar and I had a pretty nice experience with it. I can’t wait to try it again.
