Avo Syncro Nicaragua

An easy and very open draw via my new V-Cutter came as an eye opening experience with today’s Avo Syncro Nicaragua by AVO Cigars. Leather came to me on the forefront of tobacco flavors with some black coffee trying to come through. The retrohale delivered very mild pepper spice with some cocoa; I’m sipping this cigar’s smoke because of the very open draw. This is quite a change for me lately.

At the second third salt accompanies the earthy leather flavors while the spice on the retrohale ramps up with some vanilla joining the party this is becoming a complex cigar as I’m detecting other subtle flavors that I can’t quite put my finger on yet. At this point, this is a very smooth smoking cigar.

The construction of the Avo Syncro Nicaragua is spot on with no issues whatsoever for the full time (over two-hours) that I experienced this cigar.

I’ll have to remind myself to punch cut this the next time I smoke it.

I’m surprised I haven’t spent more time with the Avo Syncro Nicaragua. From my memory, this is a great cigar… Today! Fair warning, this cigar took me two-hours to smoke and enjoy.

Even though not considered a “Small Batch” cigar company by my standards, Avo (owned by parent Davidoff Cigars), the Avo Syncro Nicaragua is a huge hit with my palate. This is also the first full production line to utilize Nicaraguan tobacco in an Avo cigar.

Since this is a box press cigar, a punch-cut was in order. The cold draw that followed was of sweet chocolate and cookies that wafted into my senses. Ahhhhhh, once again her smoke surrounds me.

Once lit, I’m right back where I left off with this fantastic cigar. The Avo Syncro Nicaragua provided a perfect draw of familiar flavors, a smooth blend of earth, leather, coffee, and chocolate with just the correct amount of spice on the retrohale. I have to put these back in the rotation.

At the end of the first third and the spice disappears off the retrohale. I taste coffee now smooth smoky chewy coffee all the rest of the way. No heat, nothing bitter, this is a “Finger-Burner”.
