Asylum 13 99 Problems Lancero

COVID-19 Day 694
99 Problems, Asylum 13, Honduras, Lancero Nicaraguan, Nicaraguan Habano, Tom Lazuka Well, surprise, surprise… this isn’t the Asylum 13 “99 Problems” Lancero by Asylum 13 Cigars that I remembered from two years ago!

Through a decent draw, deep rich earthy tobacco flavors come to me… keep in mind that this has been resting for a couple of years with a cello that shows it… cocoa, coffee, and cedar round out the rest of the flavors from this Habano bound cigar and I’m diggin’ it!

I’m at the halfway point and I am overjoyed that this cigar is this rich in flavor. I can only guess it’s because of the resting time… I’m getting along fabulously with this cigar so far. I wonder if I can purchase more of these?

COVID-19 Day 325
I was looking forward to sparking this “Aged” 99 Problems in Lancero by Asylum 13 Cigars that I found at The Stash Smoke Shop in Milwaukie, Oregon more than 6 months ago. I thought I was going to have a “matured” flavor-packed cigar today.

What started out with some promise barely made it to the forefront of my attention… after I sparked this 38 gauge Lancero dry smoke came thru a perfect open draw producing the amount of smoke I like to see and feel in my mouth. The tobacco flavors were… just tobacco flavors at the start and pretty much through the first half.

At the last third, something changed that made me sit up and pay attention… with woody notes and earthy tobacco flavors with a touch of cocoa and a retrohale of black pepper brought me a moment of promise. Overall though, I was nonplussed.

I’ve got another one resting in the TupperDor, but I’m not holding my breath. This should have been ready to smoke by now. Oh well.
